Lead futures drop 0.25% on diminishing demand

Lead futures were trading lower during the morning trade in the domestic market on Tuesday as investors and speculators cut down their bets in the industrial metal amidst a fall in physical demand for lead, from battery-makers, in the domestic spot market.
Further, a downtick in physical demand from battery-makers in the domestic spot market, influenced prices of lead at futures trade. At the MCX, lead futures for November 2016 contract is trading at Rs 139.40 per kg, down by 0.25 per cent, after opening at Rs 139.90, against a previous close of Rs 139.75. It touched the intra-day low of Rs 139.25 (at 11:08 hours).

Aluminium futures slide 0.30% on sluggish demand

Aluminium futures were trading lower during the morning trade in the domestic market on Tuesday as participants indulged in trimming their positions in the industrial metal amidst decline in physical demand for aluminium in the domestic spot market.
Further, a slide in physical demand for aluminium at the domestic spot market was due to cutting of positions by traders in the spot markets, influenced aluminium prices at futures trade.
At the MCX, aluminium futures for November 2016 contract is trading at Rs 114.80 per kg, down by 0.30 per cent, after opening at Rs 115.15, against a previous close of Rs 115.15. It touched the intra-day low of Rs 114.80 (at 11:05 hours).

Zinc futures little changed on muted demand

Zinc futures were little changed during the morning trade in the domestic market on Tuesday as investors and speculators remained on the sidelines in the industrial metal amid muted physical demand from consuming industries at the domestic spot markets.
Further, participants indulged in trimming their positions in the industrial metal due to slide in physical demand from consuming industries, influenced prices of zinc at futures trade. At the MCX, zinc futures for November 2016 contract is trading at Rs 164.65 per kg, down by 0.09 per cent, after opening at Rs 164.65, against a previous close of Rs 164.80. It touched the intra-day low of Rs 164.25 (at 10:59 hours).
