Lead futures gain 0.47% on increasing demand

Lead futures were trading higher during the morning trade in the domestic market on Monday as investors and speculators widened their positions in the industrial metal amidst an increase in physical demand for lead, from battery-makers, in the domestic spot market. Further, rise in physical demand from battery-makers in the domestic spot market, supported prices of lead at futures trade. At the MCX, lead futures for November 2016 contract is trading at Rs 140.40 per kg, up by 0.47 per cent, after opening at Rs 140.40, against a previous close of Rs 139.75. It touched the intra-day high of Rs 140.45 (at 10:52 hours).

Aluminium futures surge 0.35% on uptick in demand

Aluminium futures were trading higher during the morning trade in the domestic market on Monday as participants indulged in building up fresh positions in the industrial metal amidst rising physical demand for aluminium in the domestic spot market. Further, an uptick in physical demand for aluminium at the domestic spot market was led by widening of positions by traders in the spot markets, supported aluminium prices at futures trade. At the MCX, aluminium futures for November 2016 contract is trading at Rs 115.15 per kg, up by 0.35 per cent, after opening at Rs 116, against a previous close of Rs 114.75. It touched the intra-day high of Rs 116.50 (at 10:47 hours).

Upsurge in demand lifts zinc futures by 0.64%

Zinc futures were trading higher during the morning trade in the domestic market on Monday as investors and speculators widened their positions in the industrial metal amid an upsurge in physical demand from consuming industries at the domestic spot markets. Further, participants indulged in building up their positions in the industrial metal led by rise in physical demand from consuming industries, supported prices of zinc at futures trade. At the MCX, zinc futures for November 2016 contract is trading at Rs 164.10 per kg, up by 0.64 per cent, after opening at Rs 164.25, against a previous close of Rs 163.05. It touched the intra-day high of Rs 164.25 (at 10:29 hours).
