💎 Indian benchmark indices, Sensex and Nifty ended the day with gains on Thursday after RBI's MPC left repo rate unchanged at 4 percent. The market gained due to index heavyweights like Bajaj Finance, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank and Tata Steel.
💎 At close, the Sensex ended 362 points higher to 38,025 while the Nifty index ended at 11,200, up 98 points. Broader markets outperformed the benchmarks, with Nifty Midcap 100 index ending 1.14 percent higher while Nifty Smallcap100 index down 0.36 percent.
💎 Tata Steel, Infosys, Bajaj Finance, GAIL and UPL were the Nifty50 top gainers while Eicher Motors, Shree Cement, Adani Ports, M&M and Dr Reddy's Laboratories remained the index top losers.
💎 Barring PSU Bank index, all sectors ended in green. Nifty IT (1.78 percent) gave the best returns today, followed by Nifty Metal (1.37 percent), Nifty FMCG (1.37 percent), Nifty Pharma (1.24 percent) and Nifty Realty (1.09 percent).
