💎 Market reverses 4 days of gains to end lower, Nifty below 12,800; financials slip

💎 Indian indices ended over 1 percent lower on Thursday after 4 sessions of gains, following losses in global peers, as widening COVID-19 restrictions weighed on market sentiment.

💎 The domestic indices were mainly dragged by financials but IT and metal sectors also contributed to the fall.

💎 The Sensex ended 580 points lower at 43,600 while the Nifty fell 166 points to settle at 12,772. Broader markets were also lower with the Nifty Midcap down 0.7 percent while the Nifty Smallcap index fell 0.23 percent.

💎 Among sectors, Nifty Bank declined 3 percent while Nifty Fin Services shed 2.4 percent. IT, Metal and Pharma indices also ended in the red for the day, down 0.5-1 percent. However, Nifty FMCG rose 0.4 percent.

💎 On the Nifty50 index, Powergrid, ITC, NTPC, Coal India and Tata Steel were the top gainers while SBI, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, Tata Motors and JSW Steel led the losses.

💎 Sensex, Nifty end at record close led by banks, metal stocks; Tata Steel up 6%

💎 Indian shares ended at record closing highs on Tuesday after a long weekend, following gains in Asian peers, as news of another promising coronavirus vaccine lifted hopes.

💎 Investor sentiment was given a boost when US drugmaker Moderna said its experimental COVID-19 vaccine was 94.5 percent effective in preventing infection.

💎 The Sensex rose 315 points to end at a new closing high of 43,952.7 while the Nifty was up 94 points to settle at a record close of 12,874. In intraday deals as well, the benchmarks hit new highs.

💎 The Sensex surged as much as 523 points to its new all-time high of 44,161 while the Nifty rallied 154 points to its fresh high of 12,934.

💎 Markets had eked out modest gains in a one-hour special “muhurat” trading session for Diwali on Saturday and were closed on Monday.

💎 On the Nifty50 index, Tata Motors, Tata Steel, HDFC Life, SBI and Adani Ports were the top gainers while BPCL, Hero Moto, NTPC, IOC and ONGC led the losses.

💎 Broader markets were also positive for the day with the Nifty Midcap index hitting its 52-week high, up over 1 percent and the Nifty Smallcap index up 0.3 percent.

💎 Among sectors, Nifty Metal rose the most, up 2.3 percent while Nifty Bank and Nifty Fin Services were up around 2 percent each. Nifty Auto also added 1 percent. However, the FMCG, IT, and pharma indices ended in the red for the day.

💎 Domestic equity market benchmarks BSE Sensex and Nifty 50 ended the Friday’s volatile session in the positive territory.

💎 The S&P BSE Sensex gained 14.23 points or 0.04 per cent to settle at 38,854.55 levels while the broader Nifty 50 index ended at 11,464, up 15.20 points, or 0.13 per cent.

💎 Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 10 scrips settled in the green with State Bank of India (SBI) shares gaining the most, up 2.30 per cent.

💎 It was followed by TCS, Tech Mahindra, Hindustan Unilever (HUL), Bajaj Finance, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Titan Company and Reliance Industries among others.

💎 The top index laggard was IndusInd Bank, down 1.71 per cent. Power Grid Corporation of India, Bharti Airtel, Asian Paints, HDFC Bank, Maruti Suzuki and Nestle India were among other losers on the pack.

💎Nifty Media index and Nifty Private Bank index, all the sectoral indices traded in the green today.

💎 Nifty IT index was top sectoral gainer, up 1.29 per cent, followed by Nifty Realty index which gained 1.27 per cent.

💎 The Indian benchmark equity indices, Sensex and Nifty ended with robust gains on Friday led by heavy buying in banking and financial stocks amid positive global cues.

💎 The Sensex ended 552.90 points or 1.34 percent higher at 41,893.06 while the Nifty gained 143.25 points or 1.18 percent to close at 12,263.55. Broader indices, Nifty Smallcap100 and Nifty Midcap100 indices gained 0.5 percent each.

💎Among sectors, Nifty Private Bank rallied the most over 2 percent followed by Nifty Financial Services, Nifty IT and Nifty Realty while Nifty Pharma and Nifty FMCG ended in the red.
